The
Kid's Cafe'
|
| Eating healthy is a top priority at our Kids 'R' Kids. Our
Cafeteria is spacious and bright. We believe in promoting a healthy
diet and incorporate many fresh fruits and vegetables into our
weekly menu. Miss Eda is our Kitchen Manager. She knows how to create delicious and
nutritious meals that the children (and staff!) enjoy. |

Nutrition and Health are extremely important
at Kids R Kids Orlando. That’s why you’ll see fresh produce at least 3 times weekly and nutritious snacks such as yogurt and trail mix on the menu regularly. Our School age kids help make their own snack during cooking club days. Strawberry shortcake and popcorn are always a hit. We follow all USDA recommendations for each age group and have educational information posted in the kitchen for parents on topics of child nutrition and health. |
 |
Kids will always love chicken fingers and pizza, but did you know they also love whole wheat tri-colored pasta alfredo with navy beans? Our secret is to make foods attractive and colorful and to introduce as many whole grains and legumes as possible in place of high-fat, empty carbohydrate fillers. |
 |
Children are served 100% fruit juice, water and milk throughout the day. During holiday camps and teacher work-days, school-agers get extra milk at lunch-time because they rarely have the necessary required amount which is 2 cups for ages 4-8 and 3 cups for ages 9-13. |
Did you know that only 4% of 2 and 3 year olds eat the recommended amount of vegetables? It’s true. That’s why we plan our menus to make sure that vegetables are often served for snacks as well as always offered at lunchtime. |

Soup and Sandwich Day
|
| Every Friday is soup and sandwich day at Kids R Kids. Not doing anything for lunch? Stop by our Kid’s Café any Friday and enjoy the soup of the day and a healthy sandwich! |
Balanced Breakfast every Day |
 |
| Busy parents often need to drop off early which rarely leaves time for eating well in the morning. Every morning from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. you’ll find a choice of cereals, fruit and milk or juice in addition to the hot breakfast choice of the day. Sit in the café’ with your child for a few moments before good-bye’s or allow us to serve your child breakfast in his or her classroom. Either way, it’s quick, it’s good and it’s just $1.50! |
Spacious, Bright and Clean
Any day you come into our center you’ll find our kitchen and café in tip top shape and Ms. Eda in the Kitchen working to provide nutritious meals with every health and safety precaution detail intact. We have an excellent record with the Health Department and require that extra training is completed each year to stay on top of any new information that is available.
Special Dietary Needs and Allergies
Ms. Eda always has an alternate menu choice for those children with common allergies and will gladly accommodate your childs special dietary needs. We keep your brought from home special food products and milk in our locked refrigerator so that it is convenience and safety. All teachers are made aware of these accommodations so you don’t have to worry about miscommunication and mistakes when serving beverages, meals and snacks.
