We are calling this year our theme is “Cool New Start” as we capitalize on the all of new things we began building in 2010. Kids R Kids has a cool new logo to match our efforts too! We are starting a new winter VPK program at Avalon Park that starts next week. Look for updates soon on the Parent Rewards Program.
This week we Celebrate the Arts in VPK.
In our video we see Mrs Marion Thomson as she visited our VPK class. The students were enthralled as she taught them about various art forms and materials, showing actual real works of art to the interested group. She discussing painitings, sculpture, quilting and more.
The children were amazed and inspired. Who knows, there might have been some future artists in this group that had that artistic spark brightened during her discussion.
In Suite 200 we watch as some older Toddlers begin learning about phonics, learning letters and sounds through song. This program using Emergent Literacy in Action has been proven effective.
Our School-Age After School program was making hats this week, not the kind you wear though – the kind you
a weekly cooking club, just one of our special offerings for the extended day program.
