Congratulations to Courtney & Albert Franchio our 2010 Parents of the Year! Volunteers are so appreciated and they really deserve a special thanks from Kids R Kids. We are featuring them on our plaque in the entry area of Waterford Lakes center as this years winners. Christy shares the news about our just introduced Winter Term VPK session at Avalon Park that will be starting up January 10th. Then we go to the Tundra with Ms. Samar’s VPK class as they explore their weekly theme, the Tundra. They created some “snow” in the classroom to go along with last weeks frigid FL weather! Shaving cream snow looks like fun, but a bit messier than the real stuff. It was sad to say farewell to our Ms. Carolyn this past week, but we with her the best as she enters her active retirement. She will be missed. Take a look at our teachers stockings, decorated and hung with care outside of Ms. Tracy’s office. Each one contains a wish list for our teacher so we know what would be a great gift to surprise them with. Take a look at your children’s teachers stocking, maybe their is something that you can bless them with this year as a special gift of appreciation. We believe that it is never too young to start your children exploring books. We will peek in on our babies as they start to experience “early literacy” by interacting with books designed just for them. Music is also a big part of early learning as you will see in the next clip as kids sing and sway to the music. One of the most fun days of the week was the Cookie Decorating Parties. Thanks for your contributions, as you will see everyone enjoyed this yummy activity.
