Latest Video Blog 11/19/10 – Happy Thanksgiving!

We had our First Thanksgiving Feast this past week. Visit with Ms Teresa’s class as they enjoy the special dinner. There are lots of smiles and some cute comments by your children too. Ms Franchio’s class had a special visit from someone special to one of our students during their lunch.

Then we took a hop down to Avalon Park to see Ms Tory as she was starting to paint the windows to dress up the center for the holidays and compete in the Avalon Aglow Window Decorating Contest. We are “grinchifying” our center for Grinch-mas at the event. The parade starts at 3pm with fireworks at 9pm, Santa and Mrs Claus will be there, live music, amusement rides, great food and the kids can ride sleds on a “snow” covered hill. Don’t forget to come down to Avalon Aglow on Dec. 4th, and vote for Kids R Kids Avalon Park window display while your there. After we leave Avalon, we head back to the playground to catch some kids in action. Our school-agers have been cooking up some great fun with “corny” cookies in the cooking club.

Our newest offering for extra-curricular activities is KidsArts. The kids are learning to draw shapes and use color. This new vendor will be at Kids R Kids every Friday. Today the kids were drawing some really cool and colorful fish!

Misty Reigard-Gasper gets special recognition in the video for achieving the position of a Director at Kids R Kids recently. Misty came to the company as a parent and after joining our staff has moved up through our organization to this very important role. Congratulate Misty when you have the chance, she deserves it!

We are open next week (except Thursday) and have special offers for “vacationing” school-age kids for all 4 days, or you can just do drop-in on Black Friday while you shop to you drop! Have a wonderful holiday and enjoy your Thanksgiving.
